Medical Disclaimer

Last updated: 29 July 2026

Please read this before you start coaching or act on any information from our website. Orbit & Balance provides nutrition and habit coaching. We are not a medical practice, we do not diagnose or treat medical conditions, and nothing on this website or in our coaching is medical advice.

1. What we are — and are not

Orbit & Balance is a nutrition and habit coaching service. Our coaching is delivered by a Precision Nutrition Certified Nutrition Coach. Certified nutrition coaches are qualified to provide general nutrition education, behaviour-change support, and habit coaching for healthy adults.

We are not:

2. Always consult a qualified medical professional

Before beginning any new nutrition, exercise, or lifestyle programme — including anything discussed as part of Orbit & Balance coaching — you should consult your GP or a suitably qualified medical professional, especially if you have any pre-existing medical condition, are taking medication, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have any concerns about your health.

3. When coaching may not be appropriate for you

Nutrition and habit coaching is designed for generally healthy adults. It may not be appropriate, or may require additional medical oversight, if you have or are being treated for:

If any of these apply to you, please speak with your GP or specialist before starting coaching, and let us know at your discovery call so we can decide together whether we can work together safely — and, if so, on what basis.

If we don't believe we can safely support you within the scope of nutrition coaching, we will tell you. In some cases we may decline to take you on as a client, or we may recommend that you work with a registered dietitian, doctor, or other qualified professional instead of, or alongside, our coaching.

4. Individual results vary

Health, weight, body composition, energy, and performance outcomes depend on many factors — genetics, existing health, medications, sleep, stress, adherence, and more. Any results, testimonials, or case studies shown on this website reflect real client experiences but are not a promise or prediction of what you will experience. We do not guarantee any specific outcome.

5. Information on this website

Content on this website (including blog posts, guides, quizzes, the calorie calculator, downloadable PDFs, and social content) is provided for general educational and informational purposes only. It is not a substitute for personalised advice from a qualified medical or nutrition professional. Do not delay seeking medical advice, disregard advice you've received, or discontinue medical treatment because of something you have read on this website.

6. The calorie calculator

Our calorie and macronutrient calculator uses standard, evidence-based equations (Mifflin-St Jeor for BMR, Harris-Benedict activity multipliers) to produce an estimate of typical daily energy needs for healthy adults. Individual metabolism varies, and the calculator does not account for medical conditions, medications, pregnancy, or other individual factors. Use the output as a general starting point only, and consult a qualified professional before making significant changes to your intake.

7. Emergencies

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 999 immediately (or 112 elsewhere in the EU). For urgent but non-emergency medical advice in the UK, call NHS 111. Orbit & Balance is not an emergency service and does not monitor messages 24/7.

8. Mental health

If you are struggling with your mental health or thoughts of self-harm, please contact your GP, or one of the following (UK):

9. Your acceptance

By using our website and services, you confirm that you have read and understood this disclaimer, that you are responsible for your own health decisions, and that you will consult a qualified medical professional whenever appropriate. Please also read our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
